The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf plan to open 140 outlets by the end of the year

GEORGE TOWN: The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is on track to expand its business in Malaysia and reach its target of 140 outlets by the end of the year.

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Malaysia’s marketing and innovation manager, Fiona Rodrigues, said that for the Penang region, she plans to open two more outlets in the next two months.

“For 2023, we hope to open 40 more stores across Malaysia as we continue to focus on convenience. In this regard, we will open 15 drive-thru outlets.

‘The next drive-thru we are going to open is in Batu Kawan, Penang,’ she told reporters as she celebrated her silver anniversary here today.

After 25 years of operations in Malaysia, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf has a total of 127 outlets in Malaysia.

Alongside the celebration and to reward customers for their support, the coffee chain is holding a competition called “Purple Passport”.

With a minimum spend of RM25, customers could get a purple passport and their first stamp. Once they collect 10 stamps, they would have a chance to win three grand prizes, including a four-day, three-night hotel stay as determined by the organizer in Penang, Kuala Lumpur or Johor.

The competition also offers 25 consolation prizes of exclusive 25th anniversary merchandise and RM100 worth of TCB card credit. The contest period is from October 1 to 31, 2022. – Bernama
